Angel investor energises RUMM's future

With rising energy costs firmly on the agenda, RUMM works with
companies to reduce their energy consumption. Having grown since
spinning out of the University of Glamorgan, it turned to xénos
when it required growth investment. RUMM has a proven track record
in delivering 'double digit' energy savings and reducing the carbon
footprint of a range of organisations using its web-based energy
management system.
"We were particularly interested in securing angel investment
for our next phase of growth," explains Jamie Watkins, RUMM's chief
executive. "We were keen to benefit from the knowledge and
experience of the right angel investor."
Watkins initially approached xénos and a London investment
boutique and was pleased with the interest in his company.
"In all, we met with 9 angels and 5 through xénos," Watkins
continues. "We ended up completing a deal with xénos investor, Eric
Lewis who became RUMM's chairman. Eric's wealth of commercial
knowledge is already making a difference."
Commenting on his investment, angel investor, Lewis said: "I was
impressed by xénos and the care it takes matching angels to the
right company. RUMM is the right kind of investment for me. I
really believe in the company, its staff and its offer makes real
commercial sense."
