xénos investors get together to invest in All2gethr
01/08/2011
A syndicate of xénos investors led by Graham Handley has
made an undisclosed investment in Cardiff-based film and TV
production group, All2gethr Industries.
All2gethr Industries is a forward-thinking group of production
companies committed to micro-budget feature filmmaking and
developing new media channels, such as gaming, mobile and the
internet.
“All2gethr Industries is an exciting group of production
companies with ambitious plans to develop, produce and distribute
original and innovative micro-budget feature films. We were
attracted to the Group because of its passion for innovation and
the talent of its team,” explains xénos angel and syndicate leader,
Graham Handley.
Commenting on the investment, John Shackleton, All2gethr’s
managing director said: “Angel investment was a perfect choice for
us at this stage in our development. We’re very keen to
develop our niche in micro-budget feature filmmaking and the
investment by Graham’s syndicate has come at just the right
time.”
All2gethr Industries was keen to secure investment to support
its future development and approached xénos, the Wales Business
Angel Network to discuss the opportunities angel investment could
bring.
David Maas, xénos manager said: “Some of the earliest angel
investments were in film and theatre productions. xénos has
only become involved in this sector recently but this is already
the third film our angels have invested in. The availability
of investment capital remains tight and we’re currently seeing an
ever greater range of investment opportunities.
“In this case a number of angels were impressed by this
opportunity and a syndicate of xénos investors ended up investing
in All2gethr. I’d urge other businesses thinking about how to
raise capital to contact us to see whether or not they could
benefit from angel investment.”
The Group’s most recent production, Panic Button also attracted
investment from xénos angels. Panic Button is an
independently-financed micro-budget thriller produced by All2gethr
associate company, Movie Mogul Ltd.
A cautionary tale about the inherent dangers of social
networking and posting too much personal information online, Panic
Button stars Scarlett Alice Johnson (Adulthood), Jack Gordon (Fish
Tank), Michael Jibson (Cemetery Junction), Elen Rhys (Season of the
Witch) and Joshua Richards (Troy).
Shot in just 23 days on a budget of less than £500,000, Panic
Button was filmed almost entirely on set and on location in
Cardiff.
Panic Button premieres at the prestigious Film4 FrightFest on
Saturday 27th August. Foreign sales have taken off since it
was screened at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
